Annah and George feel that they are so lucky to have found each other and are happy that so many people from so far away are spending the time to come all the way to Devon to witness their marriage. In lieu of wedding gifts, they would really like you to donate to one of the charities they have chosen below.
Outward (Outward.org.uk) - George is a member of the board of this London charity which supports over 1000 vulnerable people across London, including people with learning disabilities, older people, people with mental health problems, people with Autism & young people. Outward also develop programmes to engage people with activities to help them live more independently.
Outward's Outreach Team in Hackney are trying to raise enough money to run a community art programme for people with learning disabilities who may be experiencing isolation in the community. The project will run group sessions to create art work which will then be publicly displayed in a community space in The London Borough of Hackney. Dartmouth Preschool - For Annah (and more recently George) Dartmouth has always been a special place and the Dartmouth Preschool is a fantastic charity in the centre of Dartmouth which provides an amazing preschool education to local children between 2.5 and 5 years old. As an inclusive school, support is available to all children including those with learning difficulties, those with disabilities and those with English as an additional language.
Unfortunately the building in which the Pre-School has called home for the last 50 years (Southford Road School Rooms) requires some quite significant work to be undertaken and without the funds to pay for this work, the preschool will be forced to find an alternative. This is of course something that Annah and George feel strongly about and would like to help the preschool during this time in whatever way possible, either to help fund maintenance of the current building or relocation and ongoing running costs.
